The Tobique Fiddle Camp was started ten years ago by our founder, Helen Edgar. Through the years, with incredible help and support from her husband Doug, family members and community leaders, she has nurtured the camp to what it is today! In addition to running and organizing the Tobique Fiddle Camp, she has worked for many years as a classroom music teacher. She continues to introduce the fiddle to many students in the North West Territories.

A typical day at camp begins with a hot breakfast. A morning session with your instructor
is followed by a quick 30-minute session with a different instructor. You may then enjoy a variety of smaller classes; singing, step-dancing, or a chance to be introduced to a different folk instrument.
Lunch is served followed by free-time to be active or take a snooze!
The afternoon session with your instructor builds on what you have learned in the morning.
Many fun activities are then scheduled before supper.

The evening will showcase the talents of our instructors followed by a wonderful evening of square dancing or talent shows.
